Before & After School Care

The school operates a Before & After School Care programme on-site. A qualified and experienced child care Supervisor has been employed to oversee the programme in liaison with the Principal and Board of Trustees.

Before & After School Care is open to children attending Churton Park School and is available during the hours of 7.30 – 8.30am and from 3.00pm to 5.45pm, Monday to Friday during term time, excluding statutory holidays and  teacher only days. Enrolment is dependent on spaces being available and as there is a waiting list, it is recommended parents put their child’s name down early for this service.

Our aim at Before & After School Care is to provide a fun, nurturing environment where children feel safe and are able to express themselves and develop social skills.

Children who attend our programmes are provided with a variety of activities including board games, art activities, sports, dress-ups, building blocks, movies and plenty of free-play time.  There is a set homework time of half an hour each day so children can complete homework or enjoy some quiet reading time.

Children are provided with  afternoon tea consisting of sandwiches and fruit.

This programme is OSCAR registered and subsidies are available, on application, from WINZ for those that qualify.

This is a very popular service, often running at capacity so please contact the school office to check on availability or to register your interest.
