The Churton Park School Library is a vibrant and safe haven in our busy school. We have over 8000 items in the library collection. Each class in the school visits the library at least once a week.
Each Tuesday and Thursday lunchtimes the library is open for various activities such as art, knitting, board games and of course reading!
The library is extremely well managed by our librarian, Hue Ng, with help from Lorraine Tidey (Teacher with Library Responsibilities) and a great band of parent and grandparent volunteers. We also have some very dedicated student Library Ambassadors. The Library Ambassadors perform a valuable leadership role. They help to issue and return books, run the lunchtime activities, and read to the younger children.
Each month students can order books from the Scholastic Lucky Book Club which is run by parent volunteers. Our library earns rewards for the sales which use to buy more books.
