Kia ora and welcome to the Churton Park School website. My name is Anne Lye and I am very proud to be the Principal of this learning community. I love leading the school, supporting the teaching and learning and interacting across all the classes. I am very passionate about providing the best learning environment we can for our children. At Churton Park School, it is a delight to get to know the children and their families, so that together we can share their progress and achievement.

As a school, we pride ourselves on our high quality teaching environment, strong family atmosphere and commitment to building values, which will help our children to reach their potential, and to contribute positively as effective citizens. 

We have high expectations in terms of academic achievement and appropriate behaviour. While it is important to us that every child is well established in reading, writing and maths, we also have a strong emphasis on developing the whole child, so that every one has an opportunity to shine. It is an absolute delight to see our 5 year olds enter school, ready to start their learning journey with us, gaining in confidence and skills over the following six years. In that time, they have been given a wide range of opportunities to develop academically, participate in cultural and sporting events, develop leadership skills as well as critical and creative thinking, all within a supportive and caring environment, to be ready for the next step in their learning adventure.

Our Board of Trustees are committed to our school vision of, and ensure high quality resources are a feature in all our collaborative classroom spaces. We have a highly supportive and involved community who are willing partners in their child’s learning. All of this, along with a hugely dedicated staff, ensures our children have the very best possible learning environment.
