What is the Home & School Association?
The Home & School Association is a group of parents who meet once a month to organise social events for our school families. We are also involved in raising funds to provide improved facilities and equipment for your children. This year we have a budget of $15,000 set by the Board of Trustees.
How can I help?
You are welcome to attend our meetings that are held on the 2nd Monday of every month (except school holidays) in the school staffroom. Attendance does not commit you to any responsibilities, but we do appreciate fresh ideas and feedback.
Help is also required to ensure the various social events and activities organised by the HSA run smoothly and are successful. If you can help out with future events please let us know. The old adage that ‘many hands make light work’ certainly applies! Please take a moment to read and fill in our request for help form.
Parent Morning Teas
On the 1st Wednesday of every month we welcome all parents and caregivers to join us in the staffroom for a cup of coffee/tea at 9am. This is an informal and relaxed way to start the day and an opportunity to meet with other parents and some of the HSA Committee. We would love to see you there. Look out for the signs that go up around school at the start of each month.
Term 2 Review
A HUGE thank you to those families that supported our events last term. The Mathathon raised $5448, our movie afternoon $973 and the Icebreaker promotion $200. MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK
Dear Parents / Caregivers
We would really appreciate your assistance, As you know the Home and School Association work very hard during the year to organise, plan and co-ordinate events for the school. We are a small crew of people and sometimes the work load is rather a lot. Any assistance that you can provide is a huge benefit to families and children in our school. We understand that joining a committee is a commitment and off putting to a lot of you, however the smallest contribution can make the world of difference. If you can help out in any way at all throughout the year please indicate below and place this form in the box in the office foyer. By offering to help out does not mean you are committed to joining the Home and School Association, but means so much to us.
Thank you for your time.
