Hello and Welcome
Your Home & School Association is a small committe of parents with teacher and Board of Trustee input. Our main aim is to organise the FUN and FUNdraising events over the year. Our target for this year is $15,000.00. We meet on the second Monday of each month at 7.30pm in the school staffroom and you are most welcome to come and join us. The next meeting is on MONDAY 8th MARCH and will start with the AGM. If you are interested in being your child's class rep. for the HSA please use the contact details below. From time to time we require a little extra help and many hands make light work.
Our first fundraising effort for the year will be kicking off on Wednesday 24th February. We will be asking every family to try to sell one box of 27 packets of assorted Confectionary Company lollies. We've often hesitated about selling chocolates/lollies etc as a fundraiser. But this has the potential to bring in a significant portion of our fundraising target in one hit. So we really felt we should give it a go. So on either Tuesday 23rd or Wednesday 24th February, your child will be issued with a box of assorted lollies with an instruction sheet. Where you have more than one child at school, it will be sent home with the youngest one. We really hope most of you will be able to get behind this fundraiser and make it a success. |
PUSH PLAY FAMILY FUN NIGHT A fun evening for families and staff will be held on Friday 26th February at school from 5-7pm. This has been organised by the Home & School Association with the help of a 'Push Play' trailer full of fun and games for ALL the family, and Caffe L'Affare who have kindly donated coffee. Bring along all the family and a picnic tea/takeaways (there will also be a sausage sizzle to purchase from) for a fun evening, and a great chance to meet and catch up with people in your school community. Mark this date on your calendar and let's hope for a beaudtiful fine evening!
TIME FOR TEA? Joanna Kempkers will be hosting this term's HSA Parent Tea. These events have traditionally been held in the morning but because attendance has been dwindling we've decided to do something a little different this year. We'll be holding these gatherings once a term now, and we've decided to try an afternoon tea, to see if that suits people better. So skip out of work or leave home to pick up the kids a little early and pop in to the staffroom from 2:15pm on Wednesday 10 March for a cup of tea/offee and a choccie bickie. Everyone is welcome, especially parents new to the school. As well as meeting other parents, it's a great chance to see some of the HSA committee members and tell us what you think of us. We promise we wont give you a job just because you came to the afternoon tea! |
