The Ministry of Education is currently seeking to acquire a new site for Churton Park School and has selected the site at 48 Amesbury Drive, Churton Park as the best option for educational purposes.
The Ministry is currently in negotiations with the present owners of the site. Part of these negotiations will likely include provision for amenities that will enhance the recreational usability of the site for the wider community.
Details of these negotiations and the nature of any enhancements will be released once acquisition is secured.
Churton Park School is currently located on a site of approximately 2ha with a roll of approximately 500 students.
The sought location is approximately 4ha in area and will have sufficient site capacity for over 1000 students.
